Reading Vin number HELP

Hi Chevy Forum just purchased a van in the UK that was a US import and cant work out how to read the Vin Number

All i want to no if it was build in 1989 or 1990

Vin is 1GBEG25K5L717216

Have tries the www.carfax.eu but nothing came up

looks like the 10th digit or "L" indicates yours is a 1990, "K" would be an 1989
