I average 15.6 with a 6.0 and a 6 speed tranny. that's about 50/50 city and highway

I can't see that... are you sure? 15mpg with a 6.0? Perhaps it never works, but I just can't see it. My 4.8 is stays right at 20L/100Km, and that's 12mpg I believe.

I average 13.5-14 with my 6.0L. My best is 14.9 That is an older one ('06)

The newer the truck the more horsepower it seems. That means worse economy.
I wish they made a plain jane 4.8 with 240 horse that got 20 mpg on the hwy. Instead of pushing over 300 hp out of it....
