Default Rear suspension bumper blocks

How does one go about removing the rubber bumpers?

I am going to be installing a set of rear arbags, and they replace the rubber bumpers. But I can't see any way to remove them; looks like they were pressed in somehow.

See the instrucitons here to see what I'm talking about. The "Jounce Bumper Bracket" has a wedge shaped hard rubber bumper in it.

EDIT: Got it figured out. They are supposed to slide out but as they are hardened rubber they don't slide. You just have to grab them and reef to one side really hard and they come out.
