Default Transmissions Issues

I have a 1999 chevy Silverado 1500 2x4 truck with a rebuilt transmission installed about a year ago. Truck is now having issues again shifting, won't shift out of 1st gear and I after checking the tranny fluid I noticed it leaks just unsure of were. What issues could be causing this shifting issue and is it worth putting more money into for repairs. Thank you for any and all advice.

No, It did a few times. It would drive in second gear but not shift to drive. If i put the truck in drive it won't go faster than 25, if i put the truck in 2nd it would go up to 55 but the rpms would be at 3500. I put filled with fluid when I noticed it was low and now I can't get it to shift out of first.
