'03 Z71 Sububan won't start at 1/4 tank

Default '03 Z71 Sububan won't start at 1/4 tank
I've read several inquiries, but no conclusions. My Z71 will not start after sitting overnight with 1/4 or less gas in the tank. It definitely has gas in it. I can add a gallon or so or bang on the tank with a rubber hammer and it will start and run fine. Anyone had this problem and found the solution?

Is your fuel pump located in the gas tank?

Probably a bad fuel pump or sensor.
