Default 79 350 eng, 400 trans, need starter...

I have a 1970 Chevy truck with a 1979 350 engine and 400 trans. the norm starter for a 1980 camaro as well as the 1988 camaro will not fit. they are both about an inch off on offset, and the local autoparts "giants" here in east tennessee arent willing to help with research. anyone have a part number to go by? thanks in advance for the help.

i should also mention that the original starter was removed to be used for a core and to match up with the new one but someone liked it more than me apparently because it was missing from the floorboard of the truck the next morning.
