i Just picked up an 87 1500 4x4 with a 350 drove and ran fine when I purchased it for all of $1100 But now after setting for about a month its popping out of the TBI at around Half throttle off of a light it popped and died!

Plugs look ok (they are Bosh platnums) wires look pretty new and no burned ones and the cap and rotor are in good shape. Im thinking its a timming issue maybe??

Any help would be great! Im a bit lost on why its doing this.

MOtor was rebuilt at about 110,000 miles so my guess is it had about 50,000 miles on it. It was beat on its a mud truck has a 10" lift and 38" tires for what I paid Ill keep fixing stuff lol.

Someone on another forum said the injectors are the cause I plan to check that tomorrow also
Its more of a bog then it cleans up then it bogs and fuel milage is nill.

Still sounds like a timing issue, I have installed many different TBI's and injectors on my 383 TBI and the only thing that ever caused that was a timing issue.

Yup turned out the timming was way way retarted! Had like 3-4* Advance to start and 10 total at 3000 RPM. So I brought it up to 12* to start and that got me about 24* total now Im guessing the computer is adding and taking away from this but the truck runs way better. Im guessing the timming chain needs to be replaced but it cold and the truck dosnt fit in the garage so Im dont and driving it till spring. Then maybe a rebuild or a new chain and cam or something. Not sure $$$ are real low on top of it and its xmas

Disconnect the brown wire from the dist to check the timing without the computer, this is at the dist in some vehicles and under the glove box in my 95. Factory timing is 0 at this point.
