Okay, I have a 96 K1500 4X4 5.7l V8. ive had this problem for about 4 months. The engine shuts off randomly, no sputter no sign that its going to happen. I still have lights and radio when it happens, i'm just coasting. Put it in park and it starts right back up. happens on the freeway, idle, its not picky when it shuts off. Doesn't throw any codes either. Here is what ive done so far:

Replaced crankshaft sensor.
replaced ignition harness
replaced ignition coil
replaced ignition control module
wires and plugs, cap and rotor
throttle position sensor
egr valve
fuel pump is about a 1 1/2 years old. no issues under heavy throttle
upgraded fuel spider harness about a year ago along with pressure regulator.

I know there is a sensor inside the cap under the rotor, haven't replaced that yet. Could be a short somewhere? checked the wiring under the hood, didn't see anything obvious. haven't dropped the fuel tank to check the wiring to the pump yet. Any ideas you may have, I appreciate the help.
