Default Bleeding Brakes-HELP

I just changed the front pass caliper on a '98 Malibu. I bled the two front brakes until fluid came out. But the brakes aren't as stiff as they were before. Am I doing something wrong? Or are they ok? They don't go to the floor, they go about 1/2-3/4 way down.

Could still be an air pocket in the right side....open the bleeder, hold your finger firmly on the top of the bleeder, and have a helper push the pedal down 5 or 6 times(slowly, all the way up, then all the way down). close the bleeder, test the pedal, repeat if neccessary always making sure the master cylinder is full.

It didn't happen to go empty when you changed the caliper did it?

was the fluid clear when it came out, or did it have bubbles? if the brake pedal is pumped too fast, the fluid becomes 'carbonated' and will compress like an air pocket. gotta get all the bubbles out.
