Cat is plugged
Hi,
I have a '99 silverado with a 5.3 L 4wd pickup. The right cat is plugged up...my question is this: Can I cut this cat out and replace it with a test pipe without messing up the computer or set off a check engine light? I have been told if the O2 sensor is before the cat it shouldn't mess with the computer.(codes) There are no safety checks here in Michigan.
