It is not a chevy, its a mazda miata. Is there a way to check the fuel pump with a DVOM or other way? I am sure it is the pump the car has 171000 mile on it and I have spark and getting air.

Default RE: Check fuel pressure

I've worked on a bunch of madzas through the years.....can't say i've ever done any fuel related repairs on a miata. Other models have had a fuel pump access either under the back seat, or in the rear cargo area. There was a round cover about 8-10 inches wide held down with some phillips screws. If it is there, pop it off and there should be 3-4 wires there. 1 will be acc, 1,(or 2) will be ground, and the last one will power to the fuel pump. It will have power for 2 seconds when the keyy is first turned on, then during crank. Good luck
