Faulty EGR Valve
#2
depending on whats wrong with it. If it is stuck closed, it would not be able to cool the combustion chamber raising your NOx reading when going for an emmission test.
If it is stuck open, you will have hard starting, running crappy when it is idling, poor acceleration and stalling. If it is a carbon build-up in the egr, you may experience stalling when coming to a stop from 50km\hr(30m\hr?) or higher. Sometimes, if it is carbon buildup, the pintle can be stuck open from a peice of carbon, usually a few taps from the butt end of a screwdriver will clear it out. But it will happen again and needs to be cleaned out\replaced.
