Default Having some carb issues..NEED HELP

Just fired up my project for the first time and I believe I am having some carb problems....Here is what I have 350 small block, Edlebrock RPM intake, performer carb 1406, mild cam .480 lift 224 duratio, HEI ingnition. Here is the problem....motor idles OK, but when you give it some gas it is VERY unresponsive, and somtimes pops threw the carb and stalls. Here is what I have done so far..timing is on, and I bumped up a jet size in the carb, made no difference. Starts fine just is not responsive at all. ANy ideas on what I can check for or replace?? Please help Thanks

Your timing has to be off, I would think probably too far advanced. Try moving the distributor around by hand and accelerating the engine until you find the spot it runs the best.

Fixed it....something in the distributer was bad, dropped a different one in and it ran like a champ. And that was a new one too, go figure.
