how to flush radiator on 1997 Suburban?
Hi, this is a very basic question. How do I access the drain plug on the radiator? It seems impossible to access from the bottom and from the top I am having difficulty getting a tool on it. Could I just undo to lower hose instead? If so, how do I prevent a mess.
Second question. What is the best way to completly flush the system i.e. not only the radiator, but the fluid hung up in the engine and the hoses? Could I just refill the radiator with water, then run the car for a few miniutes and drain again? I know I might have to do this 2 or three times and it wouldn't be 100%, but is it good enough? Thanks, Rob

Rob,
Try posting you ? in the suburban section to see if you get more responses. Remember when you so flush it, be dure to use the same type of coolant (Dexcool if your truck has it etc...)
