P0300 random misfie- 3800 series
I have a 1996 camaro with a v6 3800 series 2 engine and the check engine light came on. So I got the code read and it came out to be a p0300 which is a random misfire. Its been on for a while now and ive always been trying to fix it but had no luck. Now the other day when I started it up the check engie light started to flash (what does that mean?) so I got the code again and its still p0300, now the car runs even worse then before. Its hard to start, the engine idles up and down, when you drive it it no longer takes off like it uesd to. Also I only get around 28psi in fuel pressure when the engine is running but no fuel pressure when the car is on accessory. Ive replaced spark plugs, wire, o2 sensors, fuel filter. Also I check coil pack but it looks to be fine. So any ideas what could be causing the problem? THANKS

WHen you say you checked it did you test it with an inline spark tester and the coil packs could be fine but the controler for them could be going bad. i hope not for your sake i had the same problem with a 3100 series motor there expensive parts. Fuel pressure on that sytem should be between 48 t 55 psi also so you might look into your fule pump to. Another cuase could be with your injector controler or wiring if its a spuratic short to ground it could be cuasing the injectors to not fire.
