Power Steering
What happens if your power steering lines become clogged? Will it cause any serious damage? ..... I dropped a quarter sized portion of the seal to teh power steering bottle into the resevoir and cannot get it out...

RE: Power Steering
I don't think It would blow up a line, it could be possible, it could however burn up the pump, or cause a leak. If you see a leak you may need to take it off. I would suggest if it's not to late that you take the pump off and get it out. But I will say this, I dropped a seal (plastic pull tab) off a bottle of power steering fluid over a running engine, whatched it float right into the pump. Go figure the fan wouldn't blow it away from it. We left it their and as far as I know nothing did ever come of it. But being that it is you own vehicle and you probably drive it everyday I would try to get it out.
Good luck

RE: Power Steering
Could it make a diff if the system was rack/pinion assist and a piece of the seal got into a check valve, valve, or hydraulic orifice?
Just a thought...

when looking to order parts on line don't rule out Summit Racing
They were 20 cheaper on a resonator and 100.00 less on a muffler for our 2001 ford focus.
I was surprised since I had all ways bought a AZ or O Rielleys .
By the way I do not work for or am associated with SR in any way shape or form.
