hi, i have a 1979 C10 stepside p/u that i recently swaped the 350 out with a 1986 monte carlo ss 305ho. the 350 needs work, and when is done will ethier go in my camaro or back i nthe truck. anyways, before i put the motor into the truck, i changed the h/g, oil pan gasket, all that kind of stuff. the motor turned perfectly fine when out. put the motor in, still would turn and all. now one of the last things i had to/wanted to do, was the timing. i went to set the intial timing as i did not drop the motor in with the dizzy. now when i go to turn the harmonic balancer to turn the motor, i just turn the bolt. i have no idea what the hell is going on. i have the tranni in nuetral, have tried clutch engaged, clutch not. i have tried alot. i even went as far as just puting the dizzy in and cranking it to make sure that for some evil stupid reason it didnt sieze or something. im pulling my hair out at this, it was supposed to be my winter plow truck and its been a head ache for me for the past few months. any help would be greatly appreciated.
