slugish motor. help!!!

Default slugish motor. help!!!

so the car hesitaites to start. it goes almost silent about 2 times then faster and faster till it starts. everytime that happends the lights getdimmer till it starts.then after a while of drivingi will be flooring it and it will not go. it flutters big time. most of the time it doesnt happen unless i go 45 - 50ish. any ideas?! and the exhaust flow is fine.

light gets dimmer? your battery is probably due for replacement already or your alternator is not charging right.

Not enough information Pete. What year make and model? Motor size? Other symptoms?
What do you mean it goes almost silent? Is it not turning over than after a few hard turns it will spin easier?
Flooring it and it will not go right away or just after driving it for a time? What does Flutter mean?
I think what beverlykasper is thinking is you may not have enough battery to power the ignition system (spark) and be able to crank it over too.
