tach acts up as engine loses power
I got a 1993 chevy RV with 454 TBI and 4L80E trany. Once in a while on slight uphill the tach goes from a normal 2500 rpm up to 3000 rpm, but the engine rpm remains at 2500 because its in TCC lockup and it starts to lose power. If
I press on the gas the tach goes back to normal but engine continues losing power until I pull over shut off engine wait a minute restart and all OK again. All sensors and fuel pressure check OK . Seems like the PCM or ign module is getting some sort of electrical interferance. I'm stumped.

RE: tach acts up as engine loses power
is that a question or a comment
but yeah there are a few things that control the tcc
and might be aplug on the tranny to unplug and see if ur problem goes away

RE: tach acts up as engine loses power
Could it be a sensor wire not making connection with the sensor and thereby acting like an antenna picking up stray signals? The ignition puts out some strong pulses.
