Default vacuum lines

I've been told be several people that its possible to remove most of if not all of the vacuum lines in my friends truck. Is this possible? anyone done this before? If so, would anything special need to be done, or just remove the lines?
The truck is a 1986 C10 with a 305

Any help on this will be great,
Thanks

well it could prob be done but i would look at a vacume diagram to figure what you will have to elimante you are going to have to go back to 70's tech to go back to basic's,affects the engine warm up ,emissions, timing ,vacume heater controls ,vent blower ,ect.good luck to him .
