Default Oil Filter 2010

I noted the thread on locating the oil filter for a 2.4 liter but, on my new 2010, 2.2 liter, the air cleaner cover does not pop off as described in that post.

Does anyone know the steps required to remove the air filter assembly so
I can access the filter?

Also, not able to find a service manual for the 2010's ...thinking about going with AllDatadiy.com and getting the 2009. Anyone know if there were any
big changes between the 2009 - 2010?

Thanks.

Do yourself a BIG favor...get rid of that worthless OEM air filter assembly and install a CGS - K&N air intake. You get more power and better gas mileage. Your engine will thank you.

Regarding the 2010 Owners Manual: You can go to this site to sign up and view a PDF of the manual.

Thanks for the info, I will look into it, by your pic, looks like this GM monstrosity is connected by a bolt on the left side of the engine, the main intake, and a vacuum hose, shouldn't be too hard to remove. Any idea if installing the CGS - K&N will void the warranty at all and, would you have a part number for this? Haven't been to their site yet but, I seem to be running into roadblocks trying to see a parts list for the 2010 online.

Thanks again.

The K&N filter is different. I made an error...the filter is NOT a K&N, it's CGS' own filter. The CGS Air Intake can be purchased from many distributors. It takes all of 20 minutes to install, and that includes the time to remove the OEM air filter housing. Here is the CGS web site: http://www.cgsmotorsports.com/

I bought mine from: CJ's. You can reach him at: cj@krausesfamily.com. EXCELLENT person to do business with.

10-4 Thanks again.....just installed a set of SilverStars in it, can't believe the crap you have to take off just to get to the head lights.

Guess these automaker types will never stop trying to make every repair / replacement as difficult as they can for the average customer to make.
