Default 1 Brake applying.

Just joined today. Hope I can find an answer here. My 2011 Impala will randomly start vibrating, after getting stopped and checking the brake the right front wheel is too hot to touch, the left is fine. I have been to two mechanic's thinking it was a sticking caliper and they all said it couldn't be that. I'm not seeing any codes, ABS,Traction Control nothing. Once the brake cools off it may not do it for 2 weeks. Strictly random. HELP PLEASE.

OK - so is the vibrating when driving or when applying the brake?

Have you ever replaced the pads or rotors?

How many miles?

Examine the brake hose on that wheel... is it looking mushy/bloated anywhere? Or is it solid and straight?

Have these mechanics pulled the brake apart ? Was everything regreased?

This sounds exactly like what happened to my 1999 Olds Alero. Even the same side! This drove me nuts because it was so random. I ended up using one of those infrared thermometers to check the rotor temp and the RF was so hot, it was like night and day compared to the others. I replaced the caliper and mounting hardware and that took care of the problem.

It's vibrating when driving. Had the rotors resurfaced when I had the 4 wheel alignment and new tires. It was doing this before I had the work done so they didn't cause anything.

Thanks Frank3 I have had 2 brake techs. tell me it can't be the caliper. So I'm still stumped. I really don't want to take it to a dealer they know less than the people I deal with.
