2000 Impala LS, Vent selection not working correctly
Folks,
2000 Impala 3.8. Around 92k on it.
Recently, I have noticed that when I switch from defrost, to floor, the air continues to come out of the defrost and very little comes out on the floor. I switch to vent on the dash, and I still get air coming out of defrost but some air comes out of the dash/vent.
On this car, is the selection vacuum controlled? Or is it an electrical actuator? I would assume if its vacuum, I would assume it wouldn't change at all.
Any idea where I should start with this?

I appreciate the information and I did find the article in google. This lacks SO MUCH information its not even funny.
First off, vacuum actuator is located where? Is there any diagrams for this? If the actuator is bad? Do you replace the switches for the heater controls, or is it something to do with the actual actuator thats mysteriously somewhere?
Googled this one for a few hours and found so little information
