2004 impala ss, ticking like noise after cold start?

2004 impala ss, ticking like noise after cold start?
I have recently noticed a ticking like noise after the car has been sitting over night and on a cold start..but after driving it for a while it seems to go away and for the rest of the day if im driving it off and on but then does it again in mornings when I start it, any know what it could be? or have had same issues?
it doesn't sound like its coming from belt or belt area.
