Default 2009 Impala Steering Column Trim and Levers Removal

I am attempting to remove the main dash plastic panel from my Impala. The (seemingly) last steps I need to take are:
  1. Remove the steering wheel tilt release lever
  2. Remove the steering column trim
  3. Remove the multifunction lever (turn signals, wipers, etc)

According to a service diagram I should disable the airbag and simply pull out the tilt release lever, but so far I've had no luck. I can try again if no one points out another way to do it.

I need a Torx driver to remove at least the steering column trim. I don't know which size and if someone could tell me that'd be great, otherwise I'll buy a whole set.

According to a service diagram I need to undo fasteners for the multifunction lever. I don't know what kind of fasteners these are as I haven't seen them yet. If anyone else has ideas or knows, that would also be great.
