2014 impala 2LT
Hello guys. I was just wondering is there any way i could get more horsepower out of my engine. i have a 3.6L in my impala. I look online and i cant find any aftermarket parts for my impala. i was hoping that you all may have came across some ways to get more horsepower out of the engine.

The 3.6L is already a pretty well tuned engine. Not sure how much more there is to get out of it without doing something serious. There may be a few performance pieces for the Camaro 3.6 that might fit, but it is RWD and the engine is configured a bit different. A computer tune may get some more out of it. What ever you do, do not exceed the HP and torque specs for the transmission which is 280 lb-ft, the engine makes 227 lb-ft stock. Depending on what modifications you do, you will most likely void the warranty.

I agree with F3.
You aren't going to get much. If you wanted to add horsepower you should have gotten something that wasn't a family sedan.
There are some tunes becoming available though.

But is it worth it? Will it really be faster?
You have a 7.x second 0-60 car and there is no real fixing that except adding a blower or 2 more cylinders.

--AND, everyone should never forget about the horsepower and torque limitations of the transaxle !! (6T70, I think, and if I remember right, the horsepower design limit on that one is about 315).
So, unless you want something else in the power train to break I'd say we are pretty much stuck with 305 as the max safe output level.
Just saying,,,,
