My car's battery suddenly went discharged. While changing a new battery, I noticed that when the car is off, it still draws 1.72amp current. I did some work on the instrument cluster last week (changed a bad step motor) and may messed up sth. Could any fellow owners kindly measure the key-off current of your good running car for me? Thanks in advance.

I read on another forum, that the normal battery drain for a 2001 Impala with everything off and retained accessory power timed out is 90-100 mA. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I've finished pulling the left-hand fuses and removing of one bcm fuse cut the drain to 1.2amp. But it is still too high seems. More fuses to pull.
