Can someone tell if there is a way do disable the ambient light strips in the interior on a 2103 or 2014 2LTZ? Thanks in advance.

The ambient light strips were only in the 2014-2015 Impala, not in the 2013 or 2014 Impala Limited. As far as I know there is no way to disable them, at lease there is nothing in the set up menus.

Default Meant to say 2014 or 2015

Meant to say 2014 or 2015. I wonder if there is a fuse that can be pulled?

It's probably hooked into the whole instrument cluster that is on the dimmer switch.. so it's probably no separate.

What is your issue with it anyways?

Get some black electrical tape, get a knife, cut it, and put that over it or something.

I find the instrument cluster a little bright at night, so I use the dimmer switch. Never had a problem with the strips or interior door lights.

sledge.impy, this sounds like a perfect time to crack open the service manual. Now, if there were only enough hours in the day to get all the stuff I want to get done.

What is it that is annoying you about the lights? IMHO, I think they did a great job. That and the pop-up screen.

Well, according to the 2014 service manual, I looks like the accent lighting is powered directly off of the BCM with the opposite end of the accent lighting grounded. Doesn't look like it would be easy, may even cause a DTC if disconnected.

That's for sure, a switch would also do the trick.
