Okay, so I'm shopping for my first car which I'm 99% sure will be a 8th generation (00-05) Imapla.

What do people generally think of them? What makes them great/not great.
just please tell me what you think of them. Thanks.

I wasn't aware that anybody thought they were great. My grandparents had two of them. They have always felt loose even when they were new. Like they felt like a 10 year old car with 150k miles on it. They sold one of them and still have an 02 I believe with around 60k miles on it. It has the bigger motor.

get the 3.8L engine. Its better than the 3.4L. If you put a low profile tire on it, it will tighten everything up....a lot of flex in the stock tires.

I had a w body 2000 M/C SS. Was a great car and very reliable. Now you got me thinking about selling my truck for a supercharged impala.
