impala fuel pump?
Ok I replaced the fuel pump in my 01 impala back in march the fuel gage was fluctuating. Now it is acting up again it will go all the way to full on start up and 30 secounds later it will go all the way down to empty. So I'm thinking it's the sending unit again. But I want to ask does this problem point to a bad sending unit?
All so how do I remove the back seat to make it easyer to access the fuel pump. I have looked but just cant figure out how to do it. I know I can go through the trunkand I will if I have to, but it,s just pain to get to it that way

RE: impala fuel pump?
No I did,t have to drop the tank. This car has a access panel in the trunk. I was able to fish out the float arm. Took the old pump to advance and they replaced it with a new pump. Only thing about the new pump is I had to cut and splice on a new wiring harness.
