It kills me to see everyone's mileage lol. But great to hear lots of people are doing well with they're impala's. I'm shocked to see over 200,000 but it's very great news that this car is reliable.
I'm only on 88,000 tho and many problems now. This is all my fault tho

When I exchanged my impala 2003 in 2009 for a 2009 chev uplander I had 168,000 kilometer or a touch over 100,000 miles. I had tons of problems with this car even if it was pampered like a baby. To name a few I had problems with the passlock system several times, The fan speed heater gave up; I had to replace the module. The seal for the passager compartment gave up so one morning we had a major flood on the floor after a rainstorm; the tie rods had to be changed and the ball joints also; The transmission was a total mess. I had problems with this transmission starting at 60,000 kilometers. Hick up at starting from stop and delayed shiftings etc etc.Rust paint peeling around the fender openings was present because the paint was not bonding properly on the metal. I realy liked this car. It was confortable on highways and a lots of room but at the end the transmission started to get worse with whines etc so I got rid of this lemon before I started to turn nut. The oil in the transmission was changed at 60,000 kilometers or 40,000miles including the filter but this did not helped. My 09 uplander has 48,000 kilometers on it now and I never had a bit of problems so far. The transmission is the same as the impala but they must have done some improvement on it. Many impala owners had transmission failures and I know that these cars once repaired could go a long way according to taxi drivers because some of them went over 400,000 kilometers. And another major problems that these 3.4 engines had was the dexcool coolant ending up in the engine. Major recall was issued for this problem. So after all these big cars were not too good and all the problems that many owners went through. And yes I forgot to mention how many brake rotors I went through even if most of my driving was on highways. Warping was a major problem.

2000 LS, 153,000 miles. Torque converter solenoid replaced at about 100,000. Replaced the resonator and the secondary air injection pump when I bought the car from the original owner for $500 at 142,000. No other repairs besides normal maintenance.
