I have a 2011 Chevrolet impala, and at 69,000 miles it has started to shift erratically along with grinding and illumination of stabilitrak which comes on intermittently. I have had the transmission serviced as recommended in the owners manual, and even had the spark plugs replaced because the engine seem to die down as well. What could be the problem? I find it a bit weird for a practically new vehicle to be having transmission problems already. I drive normal, and still a horrible ride.

2011 Chevy Impala Transmission Slipping
Has anyone gotten ANY resolution to any of their transmission problems from GM?
I recently bought a 2011 Impala with 60K miles on it and the transmissions slips into first gear from a stop. It makes this awful vibrating or grinding noise and then "slams" into first gear. It does not do this consistently, it's sporadic. More times than not, it doesn't make that awful noise, but you can still feel it slip.
Like many of you, I've taken it to the dealer twice and they keep telling me "no codes come up".
The dealer stated on my invoice "Checked for codes, no problem found, may just be a characteristic of the 6 speed transmission". Well guess what, I have a FOUR SPEED transmission! I have no confidence in this dealer. IT'S NOT NORMAL! No normal car has this characteristic!
I've taken it to a specialist on my own, and he tells me the transmission fluid is not red, it's black and there's NO WAY this fluid should look like this at 60K miles, even if it hasn't been flushed!
There's a mechanical problem with the car. I don't feel like GM cares at all. I'm waiting for some senior advisor to call me and I can tell you how this is going to go down, I'm going to have to drive to another dealer, miles away from my house and be without my car for some period of time and they are just going to tell me there's nothing wrong with the car.
So again, I am wondering if anyone has gotten any resolution on their car, other than the standard reply I am seeing from the Official GM Rep of "I am sorry you are having an issue with your car".
Thanks

Just to add my $.02 here, I'd have to say thanks for the entertainment in this thread. Having said that, I believe there are many issues brought to the surface here that any reputable business would want to resolve. In fact, this thread should be mandatory reading for all GM engineers and service personnel. Granted these are not spaceships, they are just petro sucking automobiles and the service personnel need to slow down and pay very close attention to the customer. My guess is that this will never happen because GM like many other big businesses do not waste time and money on the little guy. While the big CEO's get their millions and slide out the back the little guy has to sweep up the cigar ash and clean the toilets to try and keep the business in profits. Such a sad story and an even worse business model.

Transmission Problem
Have a 2011 Impala with 50,000 miles and just started to experience transmission problems. Happened 3 time now and what I think is happening is the trans is not down shifting when stopped. When you try to pull out the car is real sluggish and barley moves then a clunk and off she goes. Had it in the dealer and naturally they couldn't get it to repeat the problem. Told my wife we should just trade it in until I was informed that my 4 year old $30,000 Impala with just 50,000 miles is only worth $8,000 on a trade. Subaru here I come.
