Default Impala trunk opens randomly by itself

I purchased my 2014 impala 2ltz back in June of this year, the trunk has randomly opened 3 times on its on, this is a serious problem
Love the car but the trunk issue is rediculous , I have to put the car in valet mode after every drive just so the trunk doesn't pop open on its on .

Keep your FOB out of your pocket.

And go get it reprogrammed to 2 seconds like it is supposed to be.

Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification.

I've never found my trunk open, although my keys are blocked by a several layers of concrete. Can't say I've read anything online about it either .

Did you find the post to the link about the reprogram on here?

Hey Reinam! Please let us know how everything goes at the dealership on Monday. If you feel you need additional assistance, just private message us your name, VIN and contact information and we can follow up with your dealership as well.

I've experienced this same issue. I've walked out to my car at shopping malls, work, home and my trunk is open. Is there a way to program the fob so you have to hit the trunk button 2-3 times before it opens?

Hey there,

If you want to PM us your VIN, full contact info, and dealership name we can work on getting this issue with your trunk addressed. Let us know if you're interested!
