Welcome to the forum. The CEL is on with the "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" warning in the DIC. So, there should be one or more powertrain trouble codes (OBD-II, if you want to be exact) and freeze frames stored in a module. You can't go blindly about it like the old days. Consider taking it in for service.

The Engine Power Is Reduced message will display when the vehicle’s engine power is reduced. Reduced engine power can affect the vehicle’s ability to accelerate. If this message is on, but there is no reduction in performance, proceed to your destination. The performance may be reduced the next time the vehicle is driven. The vehicle may be driven at a reduced speed while this message is on,
but acceleration and speed may be reduced. Anytime this message stays on, the vehicle should be taken to your GM dealer for service as soon as possible.

Whatever the code says is a good starting point.

If you don't know what it is, there's no way for us to know.

Like everyone else said, we need a code to help you with your problem, most autoparts stores will run an OBDII check for free to give you a code and good idea of what your problem is. If you are also having a loss of power then it would be a code that would cause the ECU to cut power in order to prevent damage to the engine. This could be a misfire for instance or perhaps a knock was sensed therefore cutting the ignition timing to prevent damage. Even a clogged fuel filter could be causing such issues if it is sensing a drop in fuel pressure then it would have to cut back intensely to prevent a lean condition and burning a piston etc.
