Reverse/Back Up Lights On While Driving
I have a 2006 Chevy Impala. We got pulled over recently because our Reverse/Back Up Lights were on while in drive. This is still a problem for us and we cannot find anyone who has any answers or ideas on how to fix this. We have tried changing the bulbs, checking fuses, and restarting the computer. The lights are on as long as the lights in my car are on. They only shut off when the car is off. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do to fix this problem? Any help would be much appreciated

the transmission range switch send a signal to the tcm that the transmission is in reverse. the tcm sends a signal to the bcm to power the reverse lights.
the range switch may be bad but you need to view scan tool data to see this or find the circuit and test for power on it. the easy fix is to remove the reverse bulbs.
