Default "Unprogram" A Keyless Remote

I lost one of the remotes to my 2014 Impala LTZ with push button start. I ordered a new one and programmed it to the car. The problem is, my car thinks I still have the lost one and the passive locking system locks the car even if both of the remotes are still in the car which could potentially land me locked out of my car. How to I "unprogram" or clear the lost remote out of my car's system so my car knows I only have two remotes instead of 3? Sometimes I think this car is too smart for MY own good!
