Default Voice Pass Through -> '14 2LTZ-> Not

According to the manual on p. 7-28, the voice command will pass through to the BT phone. It says:
1. Press voice button
2. Say "Bluetooth"
3. Say "Voice"

Then the phones normal prompt messages will go through the normal cycle according to the phone's operating instructions.
This isn't working for me. I've tried saying "Bluetooth Voice", and tried "Bluetooth", and pausing waiting for another prompt to say "Voice".

In both cases, the system responds with "Follow instructions on the display to pair a phone".

Anyone even know about this, and successfully using it?

Which phone are you using?

Iphone? Android? Droid max? S3?S4?S5????

My GS4 works .. but as soon as I turn on the car, it pairs with it.

It sounds like you haven't paired your phone to your car.

I just hit the button or whatever, and say "Call Mom & Dad" and it works.

My phone is paired and works fine. I can make calls, etc.

The issue I'm speaking of is the 'Voice Pass Through', which to my understanding, would be for me to pass a voice command to the phone to handle, which for example, may be a command to Google Voice Search.

My phone is Android, a Galaxy S III.

I'll try that tomorrow when I get my car back.

with my android 4.X phone i cannot do more than say dial 5551212. i tried saying 'dial lisa' but it doesnt work. if are you supposed to be able to do more than saying dial then the number id love to figure it out. i also find its not even that reliable on the voice number dialing

i do also have an issue where when i enter a new contact on the phone it doesnt update on the car display. even after rebooting the phone. after a while then it does though.

and while the car will turn off the radio when the phone rings. i wish it would turn off the radio when i get a text too. should it be doing that?

Do you have voice commands enabled on your phone?

Can you say cheese and your camera will snap a picture?
