Default Brake light /Transmission Wiring Problem

Ok I thought this was an easy fix, all three brake lights did not work on my 94 full size chevy blazer. The turn signals worked running lights worked so bulbs were good and control boards good. So I felt must be brake switch on the pedal. I change the brake switch on the pedal and I had brake lights again but I had a new problem speedometer no longer work and I was stuck in low gear. The truck would not shift. Wow odd, maybe I accidentally unplugged something so I took a look under the dash push on all the connections. Oddly enough with a check speedometer worked again and transmission was fine. But not my brake lights, they no longer work again. This seems like twilight zone kinda stuff what the heck, does anyone have any incite to point me in the right direction??
