Default 2002 Chevy Malibu Electrical or computer problem help

Some type related problems exist. Could be anything. Not working are Fuel and temperature gauges. The left idiot lights stay on (service soon, air bag, seat belt, brake) right idiot lights (door jar, battery the others) stay out except check engine (which cycles from on to off). Not working are Interior lights, truck release, door locks, more. Air conditioner compressor, and radiator cooling fans not running. All fuses I can find are good. Have tested some relay by switching them. Car starts and runs. Anyone???

so this all happened at once?

get ALL the codes read. That includes powertrain, body, chassis and undefined codes....oh and airbag while your in there.

record all the codes that have set. clear them all out and see which return right away. Post the results.

x2 would also make sure battery cables are tight and battery is good....low voltage can cause crazy things but codes is definitely the start point

Bad BCM caused all the problems except fuel pump. That was an electrical issue at the body mount plug under and by the gas tank. I was able to purchase a similar BCM on E bay and it worked including starting and running the car. So the myth that you need the dealer didn't apply to me. Mike

its no myth; the vehicle theft deterrant probably doesn't need signals from the bcm for this vintage.
