2009 Impala LT. Toughest air filter to replace. I tried to snap off the front section in front of the filter ( 4 snaps) but the round metal strut sits right on top. Just struggled with it. Caution: the lower hinges or pivots must be set in the slots. Easy to miss them. Replaced stock filter with Fram filter. Looks square but L&W are not the same. Short side is vertical.Fram has a metal grid which may restrict air flow. Lousy design. Stock has larger plastic grids. Anyone know of a better way?
