Unhappy 2013 malibu theft deterant system reset and issues

Hi, I am new to this but do have a question. Have a 2013 Malibu. husband forgot to turn key all the way off yesterday after starting it up after oil change. we leave the key in it as it is in a locked garage all the time. this morning, the car was dead! couldn't get the key out either. so hubby jump started it. then it started, but then get message to service theft deterant system. after running the car for about 10 min, this went off, but now can't reset the computer indicating oil change ok nor does it show the tire pressures. anything to do short of taking it to the dealer to reset this? will driving it till then hurt it?
