How did you check the battery? A fuse could look good and still be bad. Also need to check the battery cables for corrosion at both ends.

Where is the crankshaft position sensor located? and i havent checked the starter yet. But i guess this is a common problem with some chevys, i was reading online and several ppl have had this same problem but different things causing it.

My boyfriend jumped the starter solenoid with jumper cables and the starter turns over but still won't start it (with the key forward). Also, when the key was turned on (before starting) the check engine light would come on for a second with the rest of the lights and now it's not coming on at all.

Is it turning the motor?

Do you have fuel?

It only turns the motor when we jump the starter but not when we try turning it on with the key, and yes there is fuel.
