I have a 1979 Pontiac grand lemans with a 350 and 700R4 trans. I have the stock 2.41gears in the car with 26 spline. I'm trying to figure out what would be the best route. Its a daliy driver some highway driving but I want it to perform. now with my 2 series carrier I can get a set of gear for my car brand new $149-$210 or get used set for $60-$120 but series 3 and buy adapter $45 back in the same ball park as before. Can i get some advice please.
