I have a 1990 Lumina 2.5 4 cyl car that belongs to my wife's deceased mother. car only has 83,000 miles on it, drives great and a/c even still works great. Problem is Fuel pump went out and car is in good condition for year but now needs fuel pump, windshield busted while sitting in yard for no reason other than age because it has sat for over a year. Fuel pump is expensive from what I have found and car is not worth fixing even though it is in good condition. Is there anywhere i can get to the pump in the tank without dropping the gas tank? maybe a door under back seat?? Not the best mechanical person but I can get a lot of things done, just cant afford towing bills and mechanics on it. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Not that I know of but I have a 96. Dropping the tank is not as hard as you think. I did it and thought it was not too bad. Only 2 straps Seems hardest thing for me was getting the filler pipe loose at the top where you put gas in As for parts, I scrimped and bought mine at O'Reillys, here are the particulars:

1 yr warranty O'Reillys I put it in at 163k miles 3 years ago and it has 190k on it now and runnning fine
