I'd start with my positive and negative battery connections to the starter and to the engine ground. Next i would check all my large buse fuses. These are under the hood. I had a time when i had lights, radio but try and start it, "nothing" but my lights and radio would come back on. It was a loose battery ground at the engine block.

Hey I will try that but I also think it might be the anti theft detergent system Any ways to reset it or disable it? I read this person had the same problem on another thread here.
Or is there any way to tell it is that at all?
I alrdy tried fuse will try the cables.

Also remember the positive battery wire to the starter. Loosen the Pos. Neg. wires and the retighten them. Don't assume it's a good connection if there are tight.....Tom

ok i STARTED to take the starter off and I am down to the last bolt where it needs a 15mm and is hard to get to I have it loose but the problem is There is a bracket in the way and I cant get rid of it so it will not let me take the bolt loose more b/c I notice there are 2 nuts on there and I cant get the first one off b/c the 2nd one is loose. I tried to get it back on and just loosen the 1st nut but no go what can I do to get the first nut off?

Unless the starter tested bad, i would'nt take it off. I suggested you clean all the wire terminals going to the silenoid, 3 wiresi believe.......Tom

I have a 95 chevy lumina and for years had same problem. I found out I had a electronic ignition switch that was bad. electronic egnition switch is located on the top of the stearing columm. and cost about $100 for the part. You have to drop down the columm to get at it and is a royal pain to get out. I put my car into the shop and cost $268.00 to fix.
