Default 95 Lumina temp switch

I have a 95 Lumina 3.1 V6. It overheated, I fixed that problem, but now tha temp gauge is pegged hot,and the hot warning light is on, even after sitting overnight and just turning the key on. Is this just a blown fuse or do I have to replace the switch? Thanks for any help!
