Default 1976 G20 Fuel Tank

Hello,

I'm looking for help with my 1976 G 20 fuel tank. It has rusted to the point where it was starting to leak. I looked for a replacement and did not have any luck. I ended up patching it and it is currently holding. I would like to get a replacement tank for it but nobody seems to be making them anymore. I see I can get one for a 1977 does anyone know if that year will work?

Thanks

Dave

You can have one custom made or get one that is very similar in size with the the filler in the same place and do some adapting. Fuel hose can be used to connect the tank to the filler. I did this once on one of my old cars. It works and is safe if done correctly.
