Default 2.5l Tune Up Help

I have a 1986 Celebrity with the Tech 2.5l 4 cylinder motor. I am wanting to do a tune up - cap, rotor, wires and plugs. However, I cannot seem to figure out any reasonable way to remove the Distributor Cap without pulling the engine!! Now I know there must be a way to replace the cap and rotor without removing the engine.
HELP.. Anyone... Someone??? There has got to be a logical way to change these simple parts without that much work..
Thanks in advance

I'm sorry you have no replies
on the 2.8L you simply removed two screws and lifted the distributor cap straight up. not 100% sure on the 2.5

Unfortunately on the 2.5, the cap is under the fuel injector body on the back of the engine next to the firewall. It is not on top or in front like 98% of every other car I have even seen. Plus the trans dip tube runs right there and is also in the way... There has got to be some sort of trick. I have the new parts, but I cannot get my hand on the screws that hold down the old cap, and even if I feel around and remove the cap, that still means I cannot see where to place the rotor on correctly then replace the cap..
