Default Th350c run without lockup or kickdown

Hey guys. New to the forum.

I just purchased a 84 c10 2wd short box with a blown 350 and 700r4.
I also have a 305 parts truck with good motor and a th350c
My original plan was to go full manual valve body.

I have a edelbrock intake and edelbrock carb and want to run the th350c without the kickdown cable (because I don't have the right bracketry to hook up the kickdown on the 350) and don't care about having the lockup torque convertor.

Does anyone know if I can run the th350c with the vacuum line blocked off on it, electrical connector unplugged for the torque convertor, and kick down cable disconcerted with no ill effects? Other than having to manually shift? Or would I have to make any special modifications?
