That motor is what, 125-130HP with F.I.? You want to switch to carb? ummm....
v6z24.com ?
How many miles on it?
The gains from more recent modern engine designs would crush anything you try to do to that motor. The 4 cylinders would destroy it. the new standard chevy v6 3.6l is 300HP. that motor is going every where.

s-10 make over
2.8 standard engine ( Fuel Injected ) car has been in storage for ten year it has 51K miles on it besides the body and interior , I was looking to make the truck perform better , sound nasty and look awesome .. I was wondering if I can change out the manifold , and place an edlebrock manny and carb that would be compatable with the "original engine " loking to put headers , glass pacs etc ( again to enhance the sound,,yes I know its a six cy ) also I was looking to do a lift kit , larger wheels and tires ...yet not that wide , as to compromise the ride .. I appreciate any and all feedback you can offer as well as idea Regards JB
